This system’s design was inspired by elements of the Rheo Material Transfer Station and was customized to fit the requirements of this application. The system allows for the contained transfer of materials from fifty pound sacks into a vacuum hopper for transfer via vacuum conveyance to a process vessel. The integrated flexible isolator included a pass through zipper, high volume HEPA filter, and a garbage disposal port for the sacks to be discarded. The vacuum hopper was set on load cells, allowing for the weighing process to happen right before the material was charged to the process.
